An anime about making an anime. That is the premise of the new project by MAPPA, the studio responsible for works like Attack on Titan or Jujutsu Kaisen. Despite controversies regarding labor exploitation, the studio seems to continue its activities as usual. Now, Crunchyroll has confirmed the arrival of the series to the platform.
Zenshu, the life of an animator
It’s not the first time we see an anime about developing a manga or a series. The most famous example would be Bakuman, but there are many more that decide to explore, in one way or another, the process of creating a story.
In Zenshu, we will meet Natsuko Hirose at the beginning of her career as an animator. She quickly achieves success with her creations, but everything gets complicated when she has to create a love story without ever having fallen in love. As we can see in the trailer, the anime features cutting-edge visuals and a unique style full of humor.
Today it has been confirmed that the anime will arrive on Crunchyroll, as announced by the platform on their social media platforms. The release date has not been confirmed yet, so we will have to wait for more information. We only know that it will be released “soon.”
