Twitch and Kick at war due to harassment cases at TwitchCon. Controversy between streamers continues to grow.

Published:

It’s crazy what’s happening with the latest edition of TwitchCon. Just a few days ago I informed you about the streamer who tried to push another against a moving train, and now multiple streamers have publicly denounced the harassment they have received from other Kick professional colleagues. Big profiles have spoken out and an argument of conflicting opinions has begun, causing chaos. Let’s take it step by step.

Twitch and Kick at war

First, the alarm went off when a Kick streamer tried to push another against a moving train due to a dispute the victim had with one of the attacker’s friends. As the victim described, they came as a group to confront him and, ultimately, pushed him. But another news that went largely unnoticed at first has started to gain prominence in recent days: the existence of a streamer, also from Kick, who was dedicated to harassing others.

Among the affected, we find the duo of Nmplol and Wake Wilder, who can be seen live being harassed by the aforementioned streamer. As the clip shows, while they are working, the individual approaches them and makes physical contact with them in an unpleasant way. Initially, the streamers downplay it or try to react normally, but as days passed, one of them spoke out strongly against Twitch for not taking action. “You know what’s funny? They (Twitch) didn’t even send me a message about that guy sucking me,” Nmplol declared.

But the matter doesn’t end there. Another big name affected was xQc, controversial recently for his opinions against Rivers winning Streamer of the Year, but who had to flee from the guy when he began making strange and uncomfortable comments during his broadcast. He has since spoken out and demanded serious repercussions for harassers. “We need real and substantial consequences. A ban won’t make anything work,” he stated.

And is that all? Not quite, wait, there’s more. Streamers like Tectone have been clear in their opinions and have uncovered more cases of harassment. “They are harassing innocent people without any reason. The fact that Extra Emily had to flee from a Kick streamer because she felt unsafe is crazy. Not once, but twice,” he said. In the midst of all this controversy, there is also an accusation that Ice Poseidon paid these personalities to carry out the harassment, to which the streamer directly responded: “Dear LiveStreamFail community, I did not pay anyone to harass Twitch streamers. I paid 50 subscriptions to mock Sam Bond because he is annoying and for someone to recommend Moises to OTK as Waterboy.” It is indeed a response that remains quite concerning.

And if all of this wasn’t enough, with attempted homicide included, Erobb was seen fighting a Kick streamer who accused him of deceiving his girlfriend. Ludwig has also been quite clear and has dared to directly criticize Kick. “I think there is poison in the well, that there is something in their water. They have to fix it if they want to be a legitimate platform.”

Finally, it should be noted that the alleged harasser has also spoken out, claiming that he is not from Kick and that the platform should not be blamed. In fact, Kick has banned him from using their service, but it is still unknown if any of the affected individuals will take legal action.
