One of the surprises of the weekend has been the revelation that El Rubius would have his own skin in Fortnite, something that many had been waiting for (including the youtuber himself) for years. But finally, it is a reality and, after a launch event, we now know what the youtuber looks like in the game.
When is El Rubius’ new skin coming out in Fortnite
As we have seen during El Rubius’ livestream, the presentation of his Fortnite skin is now real. A process that has taken two years and has finally produced results. The youtuber began by showing the normal skin, as it was not the only announcement he made. “I just ask that it looks like me,” he said before revealing it. “You don’t know how happy I am,” he added.
“It looks like me,” he shouted with excitement after revealing it. As for the skin, Rubius has revealed the ability to change hair color between blonde and brunette or to put on and take off sunglasses. “There will be different styles for all types of players, and you can put on or take off the effects of the bandanas (referring to their shine) if you want to be more strategic in the games and not attract attention.”
Similarly, the youtuber also confessed to having thought of everything when creating the appearance, as he sought to go beyond trends so that the skin can age well over time. Moreover, far from being just an appearance, the youtuber has also wanted to add lore to his character. “My character was an extreme fan of Kevin’s cube, he got too close and transformed into a monster.”
Furthermore, Rubius has not forgotten his cat Wilson, who will be a backpack with a lot of functions. Likewise, he also revealed the pickaxe and other add-ons that can be acquired in a bundle that will cost 2,400 V-bucks in the game.
And when can you enjoy the appearance? Well, you don’t have to wait long because it will be available from September 25 through the in-game store. Additionally, the youtuber will host a tournament on the 21st where he will gift his skin to a lucky winner.
