The Pixel 9a could be just around the corner as Google intends to compete with Apple’s budget iPhone

Published:

A few weeks ago, Google captivated users with the presentation of the Pixel 9, its new smartphone and the flagship of the company’s mobile bet. With it, in addition to confirming its commitment to artificial intelligence, the American firm attracted the interest of all those users interested in aspects such as photography or the latest Android news. However, many are eager for news related to the Pixel 9a, Google’s smart phone with which it plans to compete with the iPhone SE 4.

As indicated by the portal TechSpot in a recent publication, those waiting for the Pixel 9a may have good news, as Google is likely considering an early launch of the device. Thus, their intention would be to compete with the Apple’s economical device, as plans point to a hypothetical launch in the spring of this year. And, according to early rumors, it is most likely to be available in four different colors: porcelain, obsidian, peony, and iris.

It will feature Android 15 at launch

In terms of its features, it is most likely to be slightly larger than the Pixel 8a, following the market trend towards larger phones. Additionally, it will also feature the Tensor G4 processor and will be able to run Android 15 from its launch. However, it is most likely to have similar specifications to the Pixel 8a, which is why it would opt for 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.

However, the main difference would be in the battery, as it would be larger than the one in the Pixel 8a (with a capacity of 4,492 mAh). Additionally, by entering the market in March, it could become a new standard for the Pixel a series, which is why future models like the hypothetical Pixel 10a would also arrive at the beginning of the year. All this, combined with the recent leak of the official wallpapers of the device, suggests that we are very close to knowing all the information related to the launch.
