The launch of Elden Ring back in 2022 was followed by the birth of a legend among video game fans: Let Me Solo Her. A user who, equipped with loincloth and a jar serving as a helmet, gained popularity for helping fans of the game to overcome the combat against Malenia; a showdown that he insisted on carrying out completely alone. Unfortunately, his journey suffered a setback last April due to a 6-month ban by FromSoftware. And all because of using a mod that allowed him to perform one of the dances from Fortnite.
This information has now come to light thanks, precisely, to one of the latest posts from Let Me Solo Her on X: “About 6 months ago, my main character’s account in Elden Ring received a 180-day penalty for using this Fortnite dance mod for a video. At the end of October I will be a (jar) free man. Let’s go!”. To complete his message, the player has attached a gif showing Let Me Solo Her performing the dance moves that led to his ban.
While it is true that most fans enjoy Elden Ring and FromSoftware titles completely on their own, these games also integrate an online component to help or face other players. It is here where the use of mods is restricted; a measure that, as we see now, has affected the legendary Let Me Solo Her. But this does not mean that the user has been expelled from the adventure through the Lands Between for 180 days; those banned for using mods can still access the online experience, but only through a server with more users who use modifications in their game.
Let Me Solo Her transformed into Let Me Solo Him with Shadow of the Erdtree
In fact, Let Me Solo Her did not give up his goal of helping Elden Ring players. With the DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, which was released while the player was still banned for using mods, the iconic character transformed into Let Me Solo Him to assist other users in the fight against Messmer. As if this weren’t enough, the fan also collaborated to support community members who were preparing for the launch of the expansion.
