Surprise! The live-action of One Piece on Netflix continues on its journey towards Season 2 and, with the passing weeks, is giving us several tidbits of information about what we can expect from its new episodes. Now, expanding its casting officially, it is confirmed that actor Joe Manganiello will participate in the production to portray one of the most important characters in the upcoming narrative arc: Crocodile.
This is confirmed by DiscussingFilm on X without giving many details about the signing: “Joe Manganiello has been chosen as Mr. 0 in One Piece – Season 2“. The community has reacted to the news with joy, as we are talking about a professional who not only fits the role but has also made a name for himself in the film and series industry with very prominent roles.
An example of this is his portrayal of Flash Thompson in Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man 3 (2007). Continuing with the world of superheroes, it is also worth noting Manganiello’s participation in Justice League; a movie in which he plays Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. On the other hand, the actor has repeatedly shown his passion for the world of Dungeons and Dragons by appearing in games with groups like Critical Role and Force Grey.
The live-action of One Piece already has its Dr. Kureha and Dr. Hiriluk
As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, Netflix has been raising the expectations of One Piece fans by confirming the actors who will participate in Season 2 of the series. One of the latest updates has to do with the signing of the professional who will portray Dr. Kureha; although the community dreamt of seeing the legendary Jamie-Lee Curtis in the role, it has been announced that Katey Sagal will bring this character to life. On the other hand, we also know that Mark Harelik will appear in the production as Dr. Hiriluk.
