A few hours ago we shared all the details related to Windows 11 24H2, the new version of Microsoft’s operating system. With it, the American company introduces new features and fixes some characteristics that were failing in previous versions. Additionally, we also learned how the arrival of Windows Recall will be and how it will affect gamers, as they will be the ones paying for the consequences of the company’s new AI-based tool.
However, many users have experienced errors with the latest Windows 11 update. As indicated by the portal TechSpot in a recent publication, the preview update KB5043145 is causing significant issues including system failures and blue screens of death. Therefore, users have reported repeated restarts, blue or green screens, and in some cases, activation of automatic repair mode once they update their device.
New features and correction of previous issues
After installing the update, many users pointed out experiencing problems with USB and Bluetooth devices such as keyboards, memory sticks, printers, and wireless mice. Additionally, some devices failed to boot up after the update, a situation that has raised concerns among affected users. This, coupled with issues related to other aspects like Wi-Fi connectivity or the Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2) has resulted in, in short, this preview update affecting the overall functionality of the system.
Therefore, Microsoft has rolled out a “Known Issue Rollback,” a solution that is automatically implemented in most devices and only requires a reboot to resolve some issues. Furthermore, it has reminded that this is an optional update and mentioned that users can avoid problems by waiting for the full release. Thus, it is likely that the company has already fixed these errors before the next October Patch Tuesday.
