Good news for Dragon Age The Veilguard players: The fantasy RPG will be released on PC without Denuvo – Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Published:

In recent years, PC gamers have shown their rejection towards DRM protection systems, especially towards Denuvo. This is an anti-piracy system that harms users who purchase the video game because they experience longer loading times, stability issues, and lower than expected performance. The community rejoices when news like this is published, and it seems that users of Dragon Age The Veilguard will not be affected by this program.

Electronic Arts has announced through their website that Dragon Age The Veilguard will not have any DRM, including Denuvo. This decision has been applauded by the community, as EA has been one of the companies that usually relied on this type of system for their titles. This is considered an important change and demonstrates that BioWare is working hard on the PC version, especially considering what has been known for weeks.

Dragon Age The Veilguard, PC minimum and recommended requirements. An RPG that raises performance doubts

If you don’t remember, a few weeks ago we reported that BioWare has dedicated “over 200,000 hours” to the optimization of Dragon Age The Veilguard. This is evidenced by the implementation of upscaling technologies that offer more FPS like DLSS 3 Frame Generation, FSR 2.2, and XeSS. Also, to play Dragon Age The Veilguard, you won’t need the EA app, so it will be one of those few titles from the company that are native to Steam. We must also mention that it will be verified to work natively on the Steam Deck.

Modes of Dragon Age The Veilguard on consoles

In addition to sharing this news for PC, BioWare has detailed that players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be able to play Dragon Age The Veilguard in both fidelity mode (30 FPS) and performance mode (60 FPS). Additionally, those playing on PS5 Pro will benefit from an improvement in both modes, something that will be seen “with improved image quality thanks to PSSR”. They also indicate that they have enabled “ambient occlusion with ray tracing in the 60 FPS performance mode, which was previously only available on the basic PlayStation 5 in fidelity mode at 30 FPS”.
