In a few days, players will be able to return to the magical world of Thedas. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is scheduled to be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series on October 31st, and therefore BioWare is finalizing the details around their next big adventure. Now, it is confirmed via X that the team does not expect any delays in the release of their fantasy RPG, as the project has reached ‘gold’ status.
In the world of video games, reaching ‘gold’ status is synonymous with the project being ready for release. However, this does not necessarily mean that the product is completely finished; developers usually take advantage of the days leading up to the final launch to fix bugs in the experience. Therefore, it is expected that BioWare will focus on polishing their adventure through Thedas over the next few days.
Everything points to Dragon Age: The Veilguard being a game-changer for the iconic EA saga. In addition to bringing back classic aspects of the franchise such as the vibrant world of Thedas and the companions (as well as the ability to explore their respective stories), the RPG will also introduce never-before-seen innovations including a dynamic combat system that moves away from some of the brand’s well-known mechanics.
