A brain implant company makes history with Apple’s Vision Pro

Published:

One of the most important launches in the technology sector took place earlier this year when Apple’s Vision Pro glasses were unveiled. With them, virtual reality enthusiasts saw how interest in this field was revitalized. However, time has taken its toll on the impact of Apple’s glasses and, despite the company’s efforts and the launch of several updates, this equipment still fails to convince everyday users for various reasons.

The iPhone 16 is one of the best mobile phones for gaming on the market, but performance tests point to more interesting options

However, this does not mean that we are not facing one of the most important products of the year. Thanks to their capabilities, the Vision Pro can function as a computer, as it is possible to integrate digital content within their ecosystem. Therefore, users can use their hands, voice, or eyes to maximize the virtues of this feature, but some people have taken it further and are able to use the mind to make the most of the Vision Pro.

Adding to Elon Musk’s Initiative

As indicated by the French portal JeuxVideo in a recent publication, a paralyzed person can use their mind to control Apple’s Vision Pro. However, this is not possible with just the company’s technology, but also requires a brain implant developed by Synchron. Thus, thanks to the capabilities of this chip, it is able to capture the electrical impulses of neurons and convert them into a code understandable to a computer. And, through an antenna located under the skin at chest level, the user has the ability to control the Vision Pro with their mind.

In addition to all that has been mentioned, it must be added that the data transmitted by the brain implant is analyzed and interpreted by a previously installed software. However, this is a trial version still in development, which is why it is not available to the general public yet. Thus, before its release, it needs to address some ethical issues that, in short, are able to prevent the possible abuses that this technology could have.
