In recent years, the increasing popularity of portable devices has led to an increase in the use of a very particular device: portable charging batteries. Essentially, the main function of these devices is to provide charge to smartphones or tablets, but some even use their functions to recharge the battery of laptops. And, thanks to Xiaomi’s new invention, users are about to expect unprecedented capacity.
As noted by the Tablet OWO portal in a recent publication, the new powerbank from the Asian brand has a maximum power of 212 W when charging three devices simultaneously (65 + 27 + 120 W). In fact, when two devices are charging, the powerbank can offer fast charging for two devices, providing 65 + 120 W of power. In terms of ports, they are distributed as follows:
- Two USB-C ports: the first offers up to 140 W (enough to charge a MacBook Pro) and the second has a capacity of 45 W.
- One USB-A port: provides a charging power of 120 W.
Compatible with Samsung, Huawei, and Apple
Among its main advantages is, unsurprisingly, its compatibility with three of the major brands in the sector: Samsung, Huawei, and Apple. It is compatible with Samsung AFC, Huawei FCP, and Apple 2.4 A, as well as QC 3.0 technology. It also has safety measures to prevent risks related to excessive power, ensuring that the devices being charged are safe.
In addition to all the mentioned features, there is a transparent casing, reinforced edges, a rounded design, and a screen that displays both the battery level and the output power. Currently, this device has one downside as its availability outside of China has not been confirmed yet. In China, this unit is priced at 499 yuan, which is equivalent to about 50 euros. Therefore, we are talking about a charging unit that is not only very powerful but also relatively affordable.
