Microsoft doesn’t mess around and claims that the new version of Windows 11 can achieve a historic update speed

Published:

Microsoft is going all out to convince users to upgrade to Windows 11. As we have been reporting for months, Windows 10 is approaching its end and there are only 12 months left before the company ends support for the operating system. Therefore, not only has it launched Windows 11 24H2, but it has also worked on several tools to enhance the user experience for more knowledgeable users. Additionally, even Windows enthusiasts are working on ways to bring Windows 11 to all computers.

However, this time the star of the story is again Windows 11 24H2, as Microsoft itself has acknowledged that this version makes updates up to 45% faster. As reported by TechSpot in a recent publication, CPU usage during the update process is reduced by up to 25%, decreasing the load on the system and allowing the device to operate more efficiently. As a result, reboot times have decreased by up to 40% on some systems, reducing interruptions for users during updates.

Optimized Use of RAM and Other Elements

This new system allows for processing multiple update tasks simultaneously, speeding up the installation of updates. The RAM is adjusted according to system resources during updates, helping to minimize interference with other tasks the user may be performing. Additionally, only essential components are downloaded and updated. This reduces unnecessary disk and network usage, benefiting users with limited bandwidth.

Integrated applications like Microsoft Edge now have smaller download sizes, sometimes less than 200 MB. In fact, Microsoft tested this feature on both updated and outdated devices (with up to 18 months of delay) and saw significant improvements in both cases. Combined with the enhancements in Windows 11 24H2, we are looking at one of the most efficient versions of the device.
