When No One Was Looking, PC Fútbol 8 Updated Its Website with a Steam Launch Date

Published:

After multiple delays and a questionable communication strategy, it seems that Una Partida Más is finally able to provide a release date for PC Fútbol 8. This time they haven’t randomly shared it on a forum, but have updated their website where we can see that the video game is gearing up, once again, for its imminent release on PC… and Steam.

Launch in two phases, first outside of Steam

“Steam release on November 15, early access through the website on October 24,” communicates the developer of the title without going into further details. As of the time of writing, there are no changes in the Steam store, with the game still listed as “Coming Soon.”

As mentioned earlier, this is the first time in several months that Una Partida Más has updated their official website. Up until now, visitors to the website were greeted with the game’s supposed release in June, which as we all know, did not happen, leading to a tumultuous summer.

The question we all have now is whether this is a good sign that Héctor Prats’ team has managed to solve the countless problems that the video game has faced during its development this time. The last we heard, through an interview with ElDesmarque, was about how the new format of the Champions League had not been taken into account. The good news is that we only have to wait 48 hours to find out.

PC Fútbol 8 began to show signs of life last year, then under the name of PC Fútbol 2024, but it was at the beginning of this year that the video game started to release images and videos of a proposal easily associated with the football management games by Dinamic Multimedia in the late 90s.
