It’s not even 2024 yet and NVIDIA has already sold out all of its 2025 specialized AI graphics cards.

Few companies have gained as much relevance as NVIDIA thanks to the journey and impact of artificial intelligence. In recent months, the American firm has seen its value reach historical highs due to the trust placed in AI. Therefore, its current relevance is no longer marked by the launch of the future RTX 5000 series or by the dominance of the RTX 4060 on Steam, but by the gigantic reach of its chips and graphics cards dedicated to training AI models.

NVIDIA aims for January and the RTX 5000 series would arrive with a surprise GPU under its arm

As indicated by the TechSpot portal in a recent publication, the high demand for NVIDIA’s Blackwell line has caused all units of the brand to be sold out for the next 12 months due to the interest in artificial intelligence. Companies like AWS, Google, Meta, or Microsoft have already purchased all available units for 2025, demonstrating that the strong demand illustrates the need for more efficient and powerful processors, as companies seek to implement advanced AI models and applications.

NVIDIA is already working on increasing its production

Fortunately for interested firms, NVIDIA is working on increasing its production in order to meet the massive orders for its new generation of graphics cards, but still faces capacity challenges. Currently, it has a 12-month delivery delay, similar to what it experienced in the past with the Hopper line. However, the interest in options like the B200 GPU or the superchip GB200 Grace, both designed to handle intensive AI workloads, has made companies continue to have faith in the American firm.

In addition to the above, it should be noted that the Blackwell line stands out for its ability to significantly reduce energy consumption, a growing concern in the industry. However, there is some uncertainty as to whether TSMC will be able to meet the demand for the CoWoS-L technology used in Blackwell units. This, combined with the shortage of HBM3E memory, crucial for high-performance GPUs, could potentially affect NVIDIA’s ability to meet demand. Nevertheless, this has not impacted its forecasts, as it has already managed to sell out its 2025 stock before the end of the current year.
