There are still several weeks left before PlayStation 5 Pro goes on sale, but at least we already know its features and specifications. Although the console may offer interesting novelties in games, the gaming community has criticized the price of PS5 Pro because they consider it to be expensive. However, we have seen several developers and executives from different companies defend its cost and positively evaluate its characteristics.

In this sense, Digital Foundry in one of their latest episodes has reflected on the value for money, and they point out that the PS5 Pro is a very good investment if you are demanding with what you want in games, that is, if you want quality, ray tracing, and a high FPS rate. “If you value fidelity and like ray tracing and higher frame rates of performance modes, PS5 Pro is a good investment,” says Oliver Mackenzie (via Push Square).

The father of PS5 Pro says it exists because

“You have to consider the value of a PS5 Pro and a PC, but for a hassle-free gaming experience that offers high-quality images without particular issues with updates and incompatibilities, PS5 Pro is offering a really good experience and is also quite favorable in terms of cost,” he says. At another point in the video, he says that he doesn’t believe “you’ll get that on a PC for at least a few more years.”

Sony defends the price of PS5 Pro

A few days ago, Sony defended the price of PS5 Pro because the console offers a “complete package” that will provide exceptional value to the most committed players. The senior product director, Toshi Aoki, justified the price of PS5 Pro for the technologies they are incorporating, namely, FPS Boost and PSSR, although he also mentioned that the technological innovations, the 2 TB of SSD, and Wi-Fi 7 are great features for its price.
