Apple continues to have plans for the iPhone SE and the budget version of its phone will be able to outperform the iPhone 14

Published:

It has been almost a month since Apple unveiled all the details of the iPhone 16, the new flagship of the company. With it, users have the opportunity to take advantage of both artificial intelligence and other aspects of the device, as the buttons have become the new hallmark of the device. However, despite being launched just a few days ago, this does not mean that rumors related to new phones will completely cease.

The iPhone 16 is one of the best gaming phones on the market, but performance tests point to more interesting options

As reported by the TechSpot portal in a recent publication, these rumors have now shifted to the iPhone SE, Apple’s budget line. According to reports, everything indicates that the company will update the device with a new release. Thus, they will choose to maintain a smaller, more affordable model that will include features from the brand’s high-end models such as Face ID (to replace the Home button) and an OLED screen.

Will have compatibility with Apple Intelligence

With the inclusion of the OLED screen, we will see this feature for the first time in the company’s budget line, but it won’t be the only addition. According to rumors, it is expected to feature the A18 chip. Thanks to this, it will have support for Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI that is exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro models and the entire 16 line. Regarding the design, it is most likely to be very similar to the iPhone 14 and may even have the characteristic notch on the screen.

Therefore, the next iPhone SE will break with the brand’s tradition on these devices by abandoning the Home button. Additionally, there are no expected significant changes in terms of the camera, as it is very likely to continue having only one lens on the rear. At the moment, there is no official confirmation from Apple on this, but some insiders suggest that the company could provide more details in March or April of 2025.
