Some players are upset with Sony again over Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. The reason is that you will need to link your PSN account again to play – Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

The announcement of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered a few days ago caught thousands of people by surprise. Although many players saw it coming after the clues left by Sony in the past, part of the community thinks it is an unnecessary remaster because the open world of 2017 already looks good enough. However, the reality is that on October 31st, this enhanced version of Guerrilla Games’ title will be released on both PS5 and PC.

However, it is in this latest version where some controversy has arisen because Sony, once again, will require you to link your PlayStation Network account with Steam in order to play Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. This detail can already be seen on the PlayStation blog, specifically at the end of the page where the following message appears: “A PlayStation Network account is required for the PC version”, indicating that we will have to link our account to play a single-player action and adventure open world.

This is something we have already seen with God of War Ragnarok. Despite the great port, Kratos and Atreus debuted with ‘Mixed’ reviews for a few days, although currently they have ‘Mostly Positive’ reviews, but we also cannot forget that a mod that avoided linking the PSN account disappeared. One of the reasons the community disagrees with this requirement is because ultimately we are dealing with a single-player title, but the worst part is for players in the 170 countries where a PlayStation Network account cannot be created.

Sony Doubles the Price of Horizon Zero Dawn before Remastered

A couple of days ago we reported that many PlayStation players were angry with Sony because they doubled the price of Horizon Zero Dawn on the PS Store after announcing its remaster. While it is now twice as expensive, part of the community got it for free during the COVID times, where it could be claimed for your library and kept forever. Remember that owners of Horizon Zero Dawn, whether on PC or PS4, can upgrade to the remastered version by paying 10 euros.
