Are small cell phones no longer available? Vivo will launch a “Mini” phone, but its size is similar to the new iPhone 16 Pro

Published:

Few technological sectors have the importance that the smart mobile industry enjoys. In recent days, the focus has been on the launch of the iPhone 16, but we have also had time to learn about the best-selling mobile phones of the year, as well as the new initiative from the European Union that could completely change the second-hand market. However, this time it’s the turn of a device that many have been demanding for some time: a mini-sized mobile phone.

As reported by Android Authority in a recent publication, Vivo will debut the X200 Pro Mini on October 14th in China. However, despite being labeled as “Mini,” the size is comparable to that of the iPhone 16 Pro (6.3 inches) and not to other smaller options like the old iPhone 13 Mini (5.4 inches). Additionally, it will have a thinner design than the iPhone 16 Pro and, therefore, will be easier to carry despite having a larger screen.

A larger battery than Apple’s Pro Max models

In addition to the above, the original news adds that the phone will have a larger battery than Apple’s Pro Max models, which have batteries up to 4,685 mAh. Therefore, despite launching the prototype under the Mini label, Vivo follows the trend of brands like Google, Xiaomi, or Samsung and opts for a compact phone instead of a truly small model. It will also feature a 50 MP main camera with a large sensor (1/128 inches).

Furthermore, the mobile phone will also have compatibility with fast charging both via cable and wirelessly, while also having a performance similar to the standard X200 Pro model. In other words, it is a relatively powerful model that will use a high-density silicon battery to improve its capacity without increasing its physical size. After its launch in China, it is expected to gradually reach other markets.
